Jack is back from her kidnapping as a strange young woman. Her disappearance six years ago left no trail, no answers, and no hope. Now, she has returned and nothing seems the same. Her attitude is on-the-ball and authoritative, her eyes are two different colors altogether, and even her brother, Cale, is picking up on the ‘fantasy’ she seems to have created for herself. Her therapist wants nothing to do with the story she wishes to tell, and yet, the fiction of a land of fairies, battles, captivity, and love becomes more real as the details come to life day by day. Soon, Jack is more than a strange young woman, and Cale is more than an unsuccessful young man. They have a story to tell, and it’s best to stop and listen.

I loved this book. The storyline was great, the main characters were interesting and realistic, the magic system was fun and consistent throughout. The story swapped between two points of view, Jack (the girl), and Cale, her brother. Most of the time, I hate it when a book does that, but it really added a lot to this story, and I don't know if it could have been told any other way. I don't want to give anything away, reading the story is the best way to experience this book. After all that glowing praise though, I must admit why it only ranked a 4 star. This book had a lot of wrong word errors. They were small, but very jarring. By the end of the book I had an easier time ignoring them, but if you're a stickler for good editing, this one may not be for you. I think it's worth looking past it, but that the author should seriously consider hiring a professional for any future works. Even with the errors, I would gladly purchase a future book. I read a lot of free kindle books, and this was easily one of the best ones I've read recently.

great story and quick read. Considering this is a young author and her first attempt, great storyline with good subject development.
Wanted it to keep going enjoyed it a lot waiting for more of the same great story good characters loved it
I couldn't put the book down. I had to keep reading it. I would recommend this book to everyone that likes these types of books...
I really didn't know what to expect when i started reading this book but it went above and beyond my expectations. I was drawn into this world and connected with the characters. Awesome read!!!!
I definitely found the story of "Jack" worthy of a 5-star rating. Once you begin this intriguing tale, it's hard to put the book down......just one more page....well, maybe another one.....finish this chapter....& on and on until the clock strikes 2 am.....Jack & her older brother have a grand adventure which starts with her kidnapping.......through slavery, friendships, beatings, the loss of an eye, secrets, hate, love & becoming a Queen of a World....Not the world named Earth.......I like a book with a happy ending & I hope you will, too.
That is a story, this story, a young girl ( Jacqueline age 12 )) is stolen by land fairies (yes there are different kinds of fairies) taken to another realm and sold into slavery. Her older brother (Cale) not believed by the police that his sister was taken by a fairy, took it upon himself to enter the realm and rescue his sister no matter the cost. This is that tale, it's also a tale of how that young girls warm heart made a stunning difference to the Realm.
This is a very creative story, the writing, in the abstract is excellent, that said there are some grammatical errors, word usage, etc. For the most part it's not a huge issue, but did occasionally intruded. So why five stars? I award five stars only if it's a book or story that I will, at some point read again and this story definitely meets that criteria.
